Jumping in the streets will be on the 26 and 27 of February, with the activities kicking off on the 10 of February, with the Official Opening of Carnival 2001 starting at the Pottersville Savannah through the streets of Roseau to Festival City !
Chairman of the Dominica Carnival Committee says the committee is having problems getting the girls sponsor and this could mean the cancellation of the queen show for the first time. He says that to sponsor a girl is EC$12,000.00 and if one business organization cannot do it on its own then two or more business places can come together and sponsor a girl.
